Thank You

I just wanted to say a big Thank You to you guys for letting me in.
This past year was really difficult for me, physically and emotionally. However...it is a new year with new and wonderful things to look forward to. It is time to live my life and do it with a kickin' body! Screw all those 19 year olds out there thinking they're so hot...move over sister. You're on the train to fat town and I'm sweeping in to take your men!

Afterthought: Maybe the fact that I'm having my wisdom teeth removed next Friday isn't totally a bad thing. I'll be on a liquid diet for a couple of days... (yuck) but from my misery...may there come weight loss!

Oh Linny....you're so cute. Getting your wisdom teeth out does nothing to suppress eating. Mine were fully grown, like normal teeth, but I couldnt take as good care of them becuase they were so far back. I had to get them out. No swelling, no bruising, and I was eating chicken parm the very next day.....

However, that's just me....and i'm a medical miracle. So maybe that's not you then. LOL!

Welcome Linny! Good luck with the wisdom teeth. You may be stuck having nothing but liquids for a few days but be sure not to drink those liquids using a straw (they will probably tell you that during your surgery, but I thought I should let you know just in case. It is a major no-no since drinking through a straw can cause some rotting problems in your now-empty teeth sockets -- sounds fun!)

Linny, I have a couple of wisdom tooth tips. The Tylenol 3s with codeine that they gave me, such constipation that the pain of the constipation was worse than the pain in my face, I stopped taking them very quickly. When you are only having liquids, it's hard to clear constipation, if I had it to do over again, I'd get a different pain killer or I'd have a stock of metamucil or some other kind of fibre drink on hand.
Second and most importantly, prop yourself up when you sleep after the surgery. I was fine right after the surgery until I went to sleep, I laid flat and all the blood pooled in my face and I woke up terribly swollen. As long as your head is above your heart when you lie down, you probably won't swell too much.

Those wisdom teeth will hurt. I had four pulled out. The best part I guess was what the stuff doctor gave me during the procedure. It felt veryyyy good and I didnt feel anything. But for a month after that I was on pain killers. Jennifer is right about sleeping with your head on a couple of pillows. Do not suck on anything (straws, cigarettes) as that may cause complications. Good luck.

I still have my wisdom teeth.. how much do you think those things weigh? Hmmm... maybe I should get rid of them! :)

Titanium,
That might be a rather expensive way to lose a couple of grams, I'd use the money for lipo or a trainer or something.
