Ash and I are challenging eachother to a Biggest Loser style weight loss competition and we want you to see all the trash talk as it happens. Here's how to calculate: Week 1: 175 lbs Week 2: 170 lbs; percent: (175-170)/175 = 2.9% Week 3: 175 lbs; percent: (170-175)/175= -2.9% Week 4: 172 lbs; percent is NOT (175-172)/175 = 1.7%; the actual percent should be (X-172)/X = (170-172)/170 = -1.2%.

Good Job !! Finally someone with good results.
I lost one freaking measly pound and .0057%. I don't get it, i've been to the gym 7 out of 10 days working my ass off. I've been eating very healthy, yogurt or fruit for desert. Twice in 10 days have i had something bad, i had a small DQ Blizzard, once for desert. And once i had a veggie burger with the bun and fries. Otherwise it's been salads and fat free soup :(
I guess i have to work harder. I'm purchasing a Heart Rate Moniter after work tonight.
Great Linny!
I didn't gain didn't lose. Shitty shitty shitty. I do know where I went wrong, firstly I didn't tell Aaron to eff-off when he suggested Indian food on Tuesday night - although, it's the first time I've had Indian without accidentally eating something I was allergic to in ages and ages, so I guess it wasn't a total bust. Also I was too busy last weekend to cook ahead, and while I managed to still put together all healthy meals, the healthy snacks were another story. My office is so fattening, I don't understand how everyone here is so thin, on the other hand, I'm on the front line of the entertaining, food ordering kind of stuff and my job is more sedentary than everyone else's too.
I'm feeling pretty low today, I had a physio appt with strengthening last night and I'm in some pain this morning. I slept with the heating pad on my knee last night.
It's freakin' hard to lose weight without exercising, that said, I did go to the gym on the weekend and felt great about it. And I'm continuing to lose mass, my new (formerly tighter) jeans are getting a sag in the bum/thigh region and they look longer. On the other hand though, I'm hungry a lot of the time, and some of it may be thist mistaken for hunger, or that I've cut my fat intake way down, or some other reason.
The long hours at work, and the busy evening schedule aren't helping either, because I barely see the inside of my kitchen during the week. Even if I have healthy dinners ready to go, I rarely eat dinner at home. For example this week the last time I had dinner at home was Monday night and then I was so tired, I just had some low cal chicken fingers and some half-assed salad.
I turned over a new leaf today. I'm going to keep my food diary better this week. I packed a healthy lunch and healthy snacks. But I'm exhausted and crabby and in pain and sooner or later I'm probably going to snap at someone.
Way to go Linny!!!
I of course stayed the same. But I know why.
Don't get down you guys. Remember what you have accomplished thus far!
Yeah, being able to fit into the small clothes is nice, my undies are even getting loose.
It reminds me of my very favourite episode of Absolutely Fabulous where the women have a flash forward and you see them as old ladies. Patsy is drunk, as usual and at one point her huge granny underwear fall down to her ankles and she leaves them behind.
Luckily I have tight pants to keep them on.
Linny,
Is that a recent picture on your blog today?
Me, I am a negative 0.61% this week. I gained. I am just so out of it. I need to get the flat tummy in time for summer.
Congrats everybody. Linny, you did awesome.
Jennifer...that picture was taken last year before I gained weight (ie: before the inevitable break-up with ex-boyfriend).
But I was the same weight that I am now since I started losing so yeah...I look the same, except I need to work on my thighs but you can't see that in the picture. :0)
And thanks everyone!! I appreciate it.
Let's hope for great results for everyone next week! I know I've got a lot of catching up to do b/c you guys are way ahead of me.
Aaron gained too, so the winner is, drum roll please, Linny!
And Linny, I think you look fab in that picture, have fun with your thighs. My physiotherapist is making me do wall squats, with a little ball between my knees, they suck.
