Where have all the cowgirls gone?

I am down a lb. I quit smoking like a week ago so I cannot expect to lose a lot of weight. To fight the cravings I have been spending extra time at the gym after work. You know when I am coming home after a workout I feel like I am high. My concentration and focus are super sharp but I have no care in the world with me at that time. I forget it all. Its a rush.

I have stuck to my routine. I have been increasing the weight that I lift and I can feel the burn in my chest, biceps, tricpes, shoulders muscles. Its a good kind of burn.

Today, I ran 4 miles and even then I could have carried on if I wanted to. I am seriously thinking that I should run a marathon. I think I have the legs and the lungs to run long distance. I just need to train right and learn the mental aspect of it. When I run I can feel it in my knees the next morning. Thats the only downside to it.

Yeah, it was my birthday this week and I engaged in a week of gluttony.

Ok, Ash called me on her way out of town yesterday to ask me to post for her because she was going away for the weekend and forgot to post before she left. She wants you all to know that her ass is just as fat this week as it was last week and the week before that and the week before that. She also wants you to know that unless she buckles down, she's never going to lose any weight.

I'm down 1.4 pounds. I'm really close to my goal now.

y -- As for the marathon, you should TOTALLY do it. If I did it in the piss poor shape I was in 2 years ago you can surely do it. Try oout a little 5 or 10K first (there's a 10K i'm running here in October -- fly down for it... he he) and get your bearings first. The longer distances aren't so bad once you commit to it. Either way, good jobs on the cigarettes and the lb.

Ms Ash is not worried about this competition anymore because she has won her first date on that other 5-date competition. So I dont think we will be hearing from her any time soon.

SS, thanks. 5k or 10k sounds like a decent idea.

Hey I ran again today. This time outside. I weighed myself soon after and I have lost 4 lbs since my post on Thursday. Wow!

y -- 4 pounds seems like a lot. Are you sure you didn't just sweat a lot? If so, you gain it back once you rehydrate. Football players lose 4 liters of sweat per hour. I'm just saying...

Either way, you really should only weigh yourself once per week. Your weight fluctautes so much throughout the week that you can't get such an accurate picture if you weigh all the time.

Anyway, good job. Keep up the running!!

SS, dont be such a competitive bitch really ;)

Actually, you are right. I weighed again today and I was up 3 lbs. So basically I lost 3 lbs in sweat.

Anyhoo, I dont weigh as frequently as I have the last few days, mainly because I want to see how much I gain from quitting cigs.

We should go for a run some time. Tell me more about the 5K/10K including dates. May be I can make a trip to Fl.

Actually all of us should run the same 5K and see who sucks fulltime and who sucks part time :)

Jennifer...happy belated birthday!

Great job everyone. I'm glad you were all busting your bums while I was away. Give me a few days to recoup and then I'll jump back on the band wagon.
