You know you're in trouble when your scrub top doesn't want to fit properly over your bottom.
Or when you're suddenly having to wiggle into pants that you used to just pull straight up.
Or when you've finally gotten said pants on, you realize that suddenly, bits of your hips are peeking over the waist of your jeans. Oh the horror!!!
I've been doing good. One of the girls at the office really wants to lose weight so she and I have started buddying up this week. We bring our lunch to avoid splurging on fast food and we go walking for 2 miles everyday at lunch. It's nice to have someone to go with because it keeps me focused and prevents me from making excuses to skip out.
I'm down 2 lbs this week. Slow and steady wins the race right?

Yay for you! 2 miles at lunch is awesome. Keep up the good work =)
Good stuff Lindsay.
I'm liking the Weight Watcher's still. I am still struggling down to my lowest weight, but I did lose this week. In one spurt between last Thursday and Friday I lost 2 lbs. and I've remained the same since. That's not bad considering that I used all my extra points on the T.giving weekend.
I too lost 2 pounds this week even though i stuffed myself silly at
Thanksgiving and had fried mushroom caps on friday.
Apparently cutting down severly on the eating in restaurants and actually working out are they way to go, who knew :P
As well, a friend told me jennifer was talking smack and saying i couldn't do it and they should order pizza's to my house....so that helped to motivate me too. So thank you Jennifer :)
That friend has a big mouth. If I had any money, I *would* order pizzas to your house fatty!
Also, I'll wager that nothing I've said in the last 2 or 3 years, maybe longer, would fall outside of the category of 'talking smack'
Did I mention that Weight Watchers bread is very tasty, and some of it is 1 point for 2 slices. I'm eating a Weight Watchers bread and turkey sandwich right now. My 3rd turkey sandwich lunch in a row, I love Thanksgiving leftovers.
Jennifer...are you going to the meetings as well or just following the weight watchers plan? I thought about that in an effort to get a better handle on the eating situation.
Wonder light bread is only 1 point for 2 slices too. And, as for eating out, Applebee's has a whole Weight Watchers menu that tells you how many points everything is.
I'm down 1.6 this week.
Lindsay,
I'd never go to the meetings, I don't like people, and I'm cheap.
I just got a photocopy of the points listing, and off I went.
I actually did weight watchers for a little while before, to prove to a whining dieting co-worker that it wasn't so bad. And it wasn't, it's a pretty good plan actually.
SS, I've never seen Wonder Light here, the US has more diet products than here. I also don't shop at the kind of stores that have a lot of variety in processed foods. I shop at the ghetto downtown grocery store, where there are a million types of vegetables you've never heard of, the butcher sells parts of the animal you didn't know were edible, but there's only one choice of granola bar or frozen cake, and the ice cream is all that cheap shit. There is an Applebee's in Canada now, but I think it's out somewhere in the burbs and you'd have to have a car to get there. But I totally like the idea of the points values being on the menu so you don't have to decide ahead of time what you're going to eat when you get there or take out a list like a big fat nerd.
good job ya'll. i lost 2 pounds.
I'm so proud of all of us! Everyone is down this week!
Here's to hoping my shirt fits over my ass next week. :o)
Good for you too Lindsey. So are you a nurse or a doctor?
Yrautca...I'm the Office Manager for an ophthalmology practice...I tech, I do everything.
